Since tighter environmental regulations are making land development more expensive, the HBAA has created a certification program that will enable you to save thousands of dollars while protecting Alabama’s environment. The original Construction Site Stormwater Certification Program (Qualified Credentialed Inspector) will be offered on September 29, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mobile Home Builders Association office(1613 University Blvd., South).

Certification will give you the opportunity to do your own monthly inspections for the NPDES permit, rather than hire engineers or consultants to do it. As a result, if you go through the course and attain certification, you can expect to save thousands of dollars over the year.

Engineers with CH2M Hill, professionals in the area of erosion and sediment control who are ADEM approved, will teach the course.

Upon completion of the course and certification, participants will be armed with the knowledge to monitor, enhance and repair BMPs, perform inspections under ADEM NPDES permit and ultimately save money.
